 UNRWA continues to respond to the needs of Palestine refugees in Syria, distributing 1.1bn Syrian Pounds of cash assistance to 401,000 beneficiaries. The Agency operates in an increasingly challenging operational environment where armed conflict and threats to the lives and safety of UNRWA staff and refugees are commonplace. The number of refugees who have fled Syria to neighbouring Lebanon and Jordan also continues to rise. |

The number of refugees having fled Syria to neighbouring Lebanon and Jordan also continues to rise. The number of Palestine refugees from Syria entering Lebanon and Jordan is now over 50,000 and 6,000 respectively. |
